School of Motion's mission is to break down the barriers to learning, mastering and working in Motion Design. The purpose of the Community Inclusion Scholarship is to help underrepresented and historically oppressed groups in the industry overcome this barrier.
Recipients of the Community Inclusion Scholarship for Fall 2020 will receive a 100% off enrollment voucher for one School of Motion course, including unlimited critiques from a Teaching Assistant, and access to the School of Motion alumni network.
We realize the cost of courses is just one of the many barriers to entry. This is a program that we are continuing to evolve as we find a sustainable way to help grow the community. We remain committed to our mission as we continue to work towards finding and providing more solutions.
"I've been amazed by how the training, the platform, and the tutor work together in such incredible harmony during teaching. The support of the main tutor along with a talented artist as a teacher assistant kept me on track, with practical exercises and podcasts relevant to the classes. It makes me never want to leave the SOM platform." - Samuel Parra Pulido, Explainer Camp
"I would never imagine that I will be able to draw if I didn't take this course. Even though I was quite overwhelmed by how experienced and talented my other classmates are, it is ok for a totally beginner to catch the schedule by Sarah Beth's teaching. So I totally loved this course!" - Peng Hsiang Fang, Illustration For Motion
" I have the confidence to take on an animation job from concept to finished product. Whereas before I had to work with an artist day by day I'm definitely gaining more confidence to take on work on my own." - Joe Mathai, Illustration For Motion
"I enjoyed so much learning from Nol, I have played with AE before, but only with templates. I’m now confident to create my own pieces, the course structure and the TA's definitely are essential to learning the right tools at the right time." - Daniele Longo, After Effects Kickstart
